10/24/25
Juniata grinds out a big win on the road, headed to districts

First quarter action, Juniata would defer the opening kickoff and the Trojans would start on offense. After putting together a nice drive, down to the Juniata 30, the Indians defense would force a turnover on downs. On their first possession, Juniata would go 70 yards, on 12 plays, capped off by a 16 yd Condo to Shepps TD pass. Lopez PAT was good. 7-0 Juniata.
On the Trojans next possession, the 5th play of the drive, Q. Houtz would strip the ball, D. Nace would scoop it up and go 12 yds. Juniata 1st & 10 at the 47. Indians would fail on a 4th down, turning the ball back on downs. UDA would then march the ball all the way down to the Indians 1 yd line where they would again fumble, covered by the Indians. The game went into halftime 7-0 Juniata.
Juniata would receive the 2nd half kickoff, going 3 & out, punting back to UDA. The Trojans would waste no time, going 8 plays, 83 yds, Dreibelbis with the 3 yd run.  Their PAT good. 7-7 5:31 to go 3Q.
C. Hutchinson would bull the kickoff to the 49 yd line. Juniata would start their next drive with good field position. Indians would go 12 plays, 51 yards into the 4Q. C. Bargo would plow his way into the endzone from 1 yard out. PAT good. 14-7 Juniata.
UDA would put together another nice drive  to the Juniata 28. On their 9th play of the drive, J. Shepps would pick off the Osenga pass, returning it 18 yds to the 28. There Juniata would run out the clock. 14-7 final.

Juniata had 4 penalties for 40 yards

Passing, QB Jason Condo completed 9 of 15 for 113 yards, 1 TD. J. Shepps had 6 receptions for 87 yds, 1 TD. Juniata had 137 yards rushing. T. Rowles had 74 yards on 16 rushes. C. Bargo with 35 yds and the rushing TD.

Q. Houtz lead the defense with 9 tackles and a forced fumble. J. Shepps had an INT. D. Nace covered 2 fumbles.

Juniata wraps up the season 6-4 and will advance to district play. Dates & times TBA.

10/17/25
Halifax pulls out the win on their Senior Night

Wildcats clicking on all cylinders. First quarter action, Juniata would receive the opening kickoff and pounded out 12 plays for 56 yards and 7 minutes, finished off with a 3 yard TD run by J. Shepps. The Lopez PAT was good. 7-0 Juniata.
The Wildcats would counter, they drove 8 plays in just under 5 minutes, capped off by an 18 yard Carroll run. PAT good. 7-7 going into the 2Q.
On the ensuing kickoff, Jasper would return it 47 yards, setting the Indians up at the Halifax 47. After moving the ball 8 plays, Juniata would turn it over on downs. Halifax would move it 6 plays, finished with a 32 yard TD pass Carroll to Witmer, B. Harlon would block the extra point. 13-7 Halifax.
Just before the half, Juniata would go 3 plays where Halifax would pick off a Condo pass, setting them up at the Juniata 40. It would take 9 plays, with 13 seconds til halftime, Carroll would punch it in from 2 yards out. PAT no good. 19-7 Halifax at the half.
Halifax would get the second half kickoff, return it to the Juniata 45. It would take 8 plays, Bechtel would go 8 yards for the TD, the 2 point try was broken up by C. Rowles. 25-7 Halifax.
On the next drive, Juniata would put together a decent drive, highlighted by a 41 yard scamper by T. Rowles. The drive would stall and a turnover to Halifax on downs. Wildcats would put together a long 12 play drive, finished with Carroll to Witmer again, this time from 7 yards. PAT good. 32-7 Halifax, which is how the game would end.

Juniata had 4 penalties for 20 yards

Passing, QB Jason Condo completed 4 of 11 for 40 yards and 1 INT. Juniata had 150 yards rushing. T. Rowles had 98 yards on 9 rushes. J. Shepps had the lone rushing TD.

J. Shepps lead the defense with 13 tackles. J. Nace had 12 tackles. B. Harlon had 12 tackles and a blocked PAT. 5 TFL- Q. Houtz, C. Long, I. Ramirez, J. Nace, B. Harlon. 2 Sacks- Q. Houtz & I. Ramirez.

10/17/25
Late TD spoils Senior Night, Greencastle pulls out the win

This game was a battle to the last second. First quarter action, Greencastle would get the ball first and would pick their way deep into Juniata territory. The Blue Devils would cash in on a 23 yard TD pass. PAT was good. Greencastle 7-0.

On Juniata’s first possession, they would convert on a 4th down, but fumble the ball, Blue Devils would recover. Indians defense held, forcing a punt. Jasper Shepps would pick up the ball at the 15 and take it 85 yards to the house. A. Lopez’s PAT was good. 7-7 1Q

On the next Greencastle possession, the Indians defense would force another punt, this time the Blue Devils fake for a huge gain into Juniata territory. Two plays later, Juniata’s Ty Rowles would pull down an interception in the endzone. Juniata 1st & 10. The Indians would put together a long drive, capped off with a 16 yard touchdown pass from Jason Condo to Josh Nace. PAT good. 14-7 Juniata. 

Greencastle would waste no time getting back on the board. The first play of their next drive, 60 yard pitch and catch, their PAT was good. 14-14. 

Just before the half, Juniata would put together another drive, finished off with a Condo keeper for the 3 yard TD. The PAT was blocked. 20-14 Juniata at halftime.

The 3Q had no scoring, each team traded punts into the 4Q. Deep into the 4Q, the Blue Devils would put together a drive, resulting in a TD with under a minute to play. Their PAT was good. 21-20 Blue Devils.

Juniata would drive down the field, but came up short as time expired. Greencastle pulls out the win 21-20.

 

Juniata had 8 penalties for 75 yards 

 

Passing, QB Jason Condo completed 3 of 6 for 55 yards and 1 TD, no INTs. J. Nace had the TD reception. Juniata had 186 yards rushing with a TD from J. Condo. Jasper also returned a punt 85 yds for a TD. 

 

J. Shepps lead the defense with 12 tackles. 4 TFL- Q. Houtz, C. Long, B. Harlon, J. Cordova. T. Rowles had 1 interception. J. Shepps forced a fumble, B. Kuhn and D. King each recovered a fumble.

10/3/25
The Indians corral the Buffaloes on Homecoming Night

The Indians came out firing from all sides of the ball. First quarter action, the Juniata defense would take the field first, forcing a punt on Newport’s first possession. On the seventh play of the drive, Jasper Shepps would keep the ball and take it 35yds to the house. Andel Lopez would tack on the PAT. 7-0 Juniata. The Indians defense would force a 3 and out, where Isaac Ramirez would block the Newport punt, scoop up the ball and return it 24yds for the TD. PAT good. 14-0 Juniata.
The second quarter would be more of the same. After a penalty would extend the Buffaloes drive, Jasper Shepps would pick off the Trevin Arnold pass, setting the Indians up at their own 18. Unable to move the ball on the drive, Juniata punts the ball back to Newport. One play later, Colten Rowles would pick off an Arnold pass, Indians back on offense. It would take 6 plays, Jason Condo would hit Colten Rowles for a 19yd TD. PAT good. 21-0 Juniata. Teams would exchange punts the next 3 possessions. With under 2 minutes until the half, Juniata would drive down the field, capped off by a 40yd dash by Jasper Shepps. PAT good. 28-0 Juniata at halftime.

CONGRATULATIONS TO EMERSON FREED, THE 2025 HOMECOMING QUEEN

Juniata would receive the second half kickoff. After moving the ball down field, seven plays in, Jason Condo would hit Jasper Shepps for the 22yd tuddy. PAT good. 35-0 Juniata. Juniata defense would force another 3 and out. Newport punt. 3 plays into the drive, Condo would again hit Shepps, this time for 75yds. PAT good. 42-0 Juniata. Newport’s next drive would stall out, taking us into the fourth quarter. Newport would punt, Jasper bobbled the kick, scooped it up and returned it 58yds to the house. PAT good. 49-0 Juniata. Indians started subbing out and giving the starters a much needed break for the night. Newport would score on their next two possessions, making the score 49-14. The game would be sealed with under 2 minutes to go, Xzavier Rivera would pick off a Logan Bates pass. Final 49-14.

Juniata had 2 penalties for 20 yards

Passing, QB Jason Condo completed 5 of 9 for 156 yards and 3 TDs, no INTs. Jasper had 3 receptions for 115 and the 2 TDs. C. Rowles had 1 Rec TD. Rushing, Juniata had 141 yards with TDs from Shepps x2. Jasper also returned a punt 58yds for a TD. Isaac Ramirez blocked a punt and returned it 24yds for a TD.

Bryce Harlon lead the defense with 7 tackles. 9 TFL- B. Harlon x3, I. Ramirez x2, L. Troyer 1, J. Nace 1, C. Long 1, C. Lopez 1. 3 sacks- C. Long, C. Lopez, B. Harlon. Kicking, Andel Lopez was a perfect 7 for 7 on PATs.

Juniata clips the Blackhawks for their 4th win of the season

This game was all Indians from beginning to end. First quarter action, Juniata struck early and often. Susquenita opened up with the ball, but a 3 and out by the Juniata defense would force a punt. Bad snap for the Hawks would set Juniata up at the 17 yard line. It would take 4 plays to set up a Ty Rowles 1yd run. PAT was no good. 6-0 Juniata.
On the next Hawks possession, they would fumble the ball away. Logan Troyer would cover the ball deep in Hawks territory. The very next play, Ty Rowles again, this time from 17yds out. The 2pt try would be short. 12-0 Juniata.
Next Hawks drive stalled out, forcing a punt. Juniata’s Christian Lopez would block the kick, setting up the Indians again in Susquenita territory, at the 19. After a penalty, Jason Condo would hit Jasper Shepps for a 20yd strike. 1st and goal from the 4. 1 play later, Isaac Ramirez will punch in it for the TD. Cam Bargo would smash in the 2pt run. 20-0 Juniata.
Susquenita would put together a few plays on their next possession, but the Indians defense would force another punt. Again, this punt was blocked by Cam Bargo, Jerry Cordova also applying the pressure.
Opening up the second quarter, Jasper Shepps would run it in from 8yds out. Andel Lopez PAT was good. 27-0 Juniata.
Susquenita would again put together a few positive plays, only to have the Juniata defense stop them on a 4th and 4. Juniata takes over on downs. After Devin King rumbles for 24yds, Jason Condo hits Jasper Shepps for a 31yd TD. Lopez’s PAT good. 34-0 Juniata.
Another 3 and out for the Indians defense. Another Hawks punt. Juniata again marches down the field, this drive caped off by an 8yd TD run by Cam Bargo. PAT good. 41-0 Juniata.
Hawks with another 3 and out. Another punt. Jasper Shepps would return the punt 35yds before a Juniata penalty, setting up the Indians again in Blackhawks territory. It took 6 plays, Jason Condo would again hit Jasper Shepps, this time 27yds to the house. PAT was good. 48-0 at the half. The final 2 quarters, the Juniata defense stood tall and closed out the game, no more scoring for either side. Final score 48-0 Juniata.

Juniata had 5 penalties for 60 yards

Passing, QB Jason Condo completed 5 of 9 for 118 yards and 2 TDs. Jasper had all 5 receptions for 118 and the 2 TDs.
Rushing, Juniata compiled 246 yards with TDs from Ty Rowles x2, Jasper Shepps, Isaac Ramirez, Cam Bargo.

Quentin Houtz & Bryce Harlon lead the defense with 8 tackles each. 6 TFL- Houtz, C. Hutchinson, I. Ramirez, C. Long, C. Lopez, J. Cordova. 3 sacks- C. Long, C. Lopez, J. Cordova. 2 blocked punts- C. Lopez, C. Bargo. L. Troyer had a fumble recovery.

2nd half surge drives Juniata over Camp Hill

Juniata would receive the opening kickoff, Isaac Ramirez would return it 50 yds, adding on a 15yd face-mask penalty, Juniata would be set up on the Lions 20. That drive would stall on 4th down, turning the ball over. Camp Hill would march down the field, but would be forced to settle for a 31yd FG with 2:13 in the 1Q. Lions up 3-0.
Juniata would then run 4 plays before punting it away, heading into the 2Q. After another long drive by the Lions, on 4th & 4, Logan Troyer comes up big  with an 8yd TFL, Juniata back on offense. 11 plays later, 47.3 seconds left before the half, I. Ramirez would cash it in from 12yds out, PAT no good. 6-3 Juniata at halftime.
Camp Hill would receive the 2nd half kickoff and they would waste no time getting back on the board. 6 plays, capped off by a Scaringi 11yd run, PAT was good. Lions up 10-6 with 9:37 3Q. On the 5th play of the Indians next drive, I. Ramirez would fumble, Lions would cover it at their own 45yd line. On a 4th & 2, Juniata’s defense stands tall again, forcing a turnover on downs. On the 6th play of the drive, QB J. Condo would hit J. Shepps for a 25yd strike, the 2pt play was no good. 12-10 Juniata 3:38 3Q.
On the first play of the Lions drive, J. Cordova would force a fumble, B. Harlon would cover it, Juniata in business on the Lions 24. It would only take 4 plays, J. Condo would drive it in from 1yd out, PAT good. Juniata 19-10 2:05 3Q. On the next Lions drive, the Indians defense would again come up big on a 4th and long, taking over on downs at their own 49yd line. It would take 7 plays for I. Ramirez to pick up his 2nd rushing TD of the game, from 6yds out, C. Bargo would smash in the 2pt play, Juniata up 27-10 with 9:15 in the game. Both teams would exchange punts and the Juniata defense finished strong. 27-10 is the final.
Juniata had 2 penalties for 20yds
Passing, QB Jason Condo completed 2 of 7 for 42yds and a TD. Rushing, Juniata compiled 186 yards with TDs from I. Ramirez x2 and J. Condo.
Quentin Houtz & Cale Fike lead the defense with 9 tackles each. 10 TFL- Houtz 3, Troyer 2, 1 from Fike, Ramirez, C. Lopez, Harlon, Cordova. 3.5 sacks- Houtz, Ramirez, C. Lopez, Harlon. 4 PDs- Shepps, Bargo, C. Rowles, Ramirez. J. Cordova also forced a fumble, B. Harlon had the recovery.

Indians back on track with win over James Buchanan

Coach Condo was looking for a quick start on Friday night, and that’s what he got. Within 15 seconds, Jasper Shepps took the opening kickoff 95 yards for the score. A. Lopez’s PAT was good, Juniata up 7-0.
The Rockets would march down the field, only to have J. Shepps pick off a pass deep in Indian’s territory. The Indians were unable to convert a 3rd and long, punted it back to the Rockets. James Buchanan would get on the board just before the half on a 14y run. Their 2pt try was no good. Juniata up 7-6 at halftime.
First play of the 2nd half, C. Rowles forced a Rockets fumble, J. Nace would cover the ball. Juniata was in business. It would take 3 plays, T. Rowles would rumble 15y for the TD, Lopez’s PAT was blocked. 13-6 Juniata. The Rockets would go right back down the field and connect on a 24y TD pass, C. Bargo would stuff the 2pt try, Juniata up 14-12 going into the 4Q.
Juniata would take it to the Rocket’s 4yd line, but could not convert a 4th down, turning the ball over on downs. On their 6th play of the drive, J. Shepps would gather his second interception of the night, setting the Indians up on the Rocket’s 16. On the third play of the drive, I. Ramirez would punch it in from 4yds out, 2pt run was no good. 19-12 with 4:45 remaining. Juniata’s defense would take care of the rest, forcing a 4th & 16, Indians stood tall.

Your final score: 19-12 Juniata.

Juniata had 3 penalties for 15 yds.
Passing, QB Jason Condo completed 4 of 7 for 56 yds. Rushing, Juniata compiled 119 yards with TDs from T. Rowles and I. Ramirez.
Jasper Shepps had 2 interceptions, and Quentin Houtz led the defense with 11 tackles. C. Rowles also forced a fumble, J. Nace had the recovery.

Indians drop a tough one to a strong Line Mountain squad

Military Appreciation Night at Klingensmith Stadium. Old Glory was flying high, Honor Guard was in attendance, TAPS was played, the gun salute and the National Anthem filled the air. The Indians sporting the camo jerseys for the evening.
From the opening kickoff, it was all Eagles. They got on the board with 1:12 left in the 1Q, 2 yd run by Dunkelberger, PAT was good. 7-0.
The Eagles defense would shut down the Indians offense all night. At the 4:17 mark in the 2Q, the Eagles Johnson would punch it in from 1 yd out, PAT good. 14-0.
Before the half, at the 1:16 mark, they would nail a 79 yd TD throw Maurer to Schadel, PAT good. 21-0 at halftime.
The 3Q, both defenses would stand tough. Juniata’s Conrad Long would cover a Line Mountain fumble and Colton Rowles would later grab an interception, no scoring in the quarter however.
Line Mountain would score 2 rushing TDs from Johnson & Dunkelberger in the 4Q. At the 10:46 and the 3:43 mark, both PATs were good. That would seal the night with the final 35-0 Line Mountain.

Juniata had 3 penalties for 15 yds
Only 89 total yards of offense. QB Jason Condo completed 2 of 9 for 12 yds and 1 INT. Cam Bargo caught both passes. 77 yds rushing, Jasper Shepps had 64 of those yards.
Jasper Shepps and Quentin Houtz lead the defense with 10 tackles each.


Juniata travels to James Buchanan next Friday 9/12 @ 7pm kickoff

Indians lose to Steel-High on last second TD

Juniata opened up their first drive with a fumble, turning it over to the Rollers. The defense would hold strong, Jasper Shepps picking off a Rollers pass and returning it 15yds. On the very next play, QB Jason Condo would hit Shepps in stride for a 67yd TD. Lopez PAT was good. 7-0 Juniata. 
Before the quarter ended, the Rollers would score on a Stephens pass to Hernandez. Their 2pt play was unsuccessful. Juniata 7-6
The 2Q was all defense, no scoring. At halftime Juniata led 7-6. 
At the 5:54 mark of the 3Q, Condo would throw his second TD pass of the game, this time to Josh Nace for 27yds. Lopez PAT was good. 14-6 Juniata.
The 4Q would prove to be a heartbreaker. With just under 5 minutes to go, the Rollers would punch it in from 1yd out, their 2pt play was no good. 14-12 Juniata.
Unable to pick up a 1st down, Juniata would punt it away with just over 2 minutes to go. The Rollers took it down to the Juniata 40. As time expired, Stephens again hit Hernandez for a 40yd score with zero seconds on the clock. Heartbreaking loss. 18-14

Juniata finished with 183yds total. 121yds passing. Only 62yds rushing.
C. Rowles lead the team in tackles with 10, Q. Houtz, J. Shepps and C. Long all with 9. J. Shepps also had 1 INT.

Indians open the season with a victory over Selinsgrove

After a scoreless 1st quarter, Juniata came out swinging. At the 10:10 mark, Jasper Shepps started the scoring with a 2yd TD run. The PAT was wide right. Juniata up 6-0. 

On the next Seals possession, Shepps picked off an Amato pass, setting up a 27yd TD run by Isaac Ramirez. The 2pt try was no good. Juniata 12-0.

The Seals answered that with a 10 play drive, resulting in a Brett Rice TD, their PAT was good. Juniata 12-7

With just over 2 minutes before halftime, Juniata offense marched back down the field, and with only :09 until the half, Isaac Ramirez picks up his 2nd TD run, this from 3yds out. The 2pt play was no good. Juniata 18-7. 

Not much offense in the second half, but the Juniata defense would give nothing but headache to the Seals offense, shutting them out the rest of the game. 

 

Juniata finished with 167yds of rushing, 67yds passing. The defense would have 4 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT, 3 PD, 3 QB Hurries. 

Jadon Nealman lead the team in tackles with 10. Isaac Ramirez had 6 tackles, 2 TFL and a sack
